GLO Childcare and Education is a new 79-place nursery for children aged three months to five years, opening at the Frances Wood Building on Apollo Campus.
Our nursery will provide a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is supported to develop confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.
Through play-based learning, children will explore their interests, build relationships and enjoy meaningful experiences both indoors and outdoors. Our early years team will respond to each child’s individual needs and stage of development.
Our family-work approach will place children and their families at the heart of everything we do, with parents and carers encouraged to work closely with their child’s keyworker throughout their learning journey.
GLO Childcare and Education is planned to open on 2 January 2027, subject to Ofsted registration.

Children learn best when they feel safe, supported and inspired to explore. At GLO Childcare and Education, our play-based approach will give children opportunities to follow their interests, try new experiences and develop their confidence, creativity and independence.
Our experienced early years team will plan stimulating learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage, while responding to each child’s individual needs and stage of development. Every child will be supported by a keyworker who will get to know them well, celebrate their progress and help them achieve their full potential.
From imaginative and sensory play to stories, creative activities and outdoor exploration, each day will offer meaningful opportunities for children to learn, build relationships and develop skills that will support them throughout their early years.

Families know their children best, which is why working in genuine partnership with parents and carers will be central to our approach. From a child’s first settling-in sessions, our team will take time to understand their routines, interests, experiences and individual support needs.
Each child will have a keyworker who will build a trusting relationship with them and maintain regular communication with their family. Parents and carers will receive updates about their child’s learning, development and wellbeing and will have opportunities to share information from home that can help us provide consistent support.
Our team will listen to families, respond respectfully to their questions and work collaboratively to help every child feel secure, included and ready to thrive. By connecting home and nursery experiences, we aim to create a supportive community in which children and families feel welcomed, valued and involved.
