Our History…..
Every business has a beginning. In 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic, the property Manager at YMCA Cheshire was asked to repair a door handle for a local property organisation. It was a small job, worth around £10, but that first repair led to another job, and then another. As the quality of the work became known and requests increased, more jobs came in. The service expanded and additional maintenance operatives were brought in to meet demand.
In 2025, GLO Maintenance became a registered entity under GLO Enterprises, creating the foundation for the service to continue developing while retaining the wider social purpose behind its work. Today, GLO Maintenance has three full-time team members and three vans on the road, carrying out repairs, maintenance and property improvement work across Crewe. And we are still growing.
