Nearly £3,000 Raised at Our First Charity Golf Day

Nearly £3,000 Raised at Our First Charity Golf Day

What a day.

On a course filled with friendly competition, laughter and new connections, businesses and supporters from across Cheshire came together for one shared purpose: making a difference in our communities.

We are delighted to share that our inaugural Charity Golf Day, held at Alsager Golf & Country Club, raised nearly £3,000 to support YMCA Cheshire’s work with young people, families and individuals across the region.

From the very first tee-off to the final putt, the day was a wonderful celebration of community spirit and partnership. More than 50 participants joined us, representing 13 businesses who generously gave their time, resources and support to help make the event a success.

Despite a damp start and challenging weather conditions early in the day, participants embraced the occasion with enthusiasm. As the day progressed, beautiful sunshine broke through, providing the perfect backdrop for the 18-hole competition before everyone gathered for a three-course meal, auction and raffle.

Businesses Driving Positive Change

This event would not have been possible without the incredible support of our event partner, The Zero Group, and our Gold Sponsor, A500 Tech Solutions.

Their commitment to supporting local communities played a vital role in bringing the event to life and demonstrated the powerful impact that can be achieved when businesses and charities work together.

Simon Robeson, CEO of A500 Tech Solutions, said:

“A500 are here to help support YMCA Cheshire and the incredible work they do across our communities, helping people and making sure everyone gets a fair opportunity in life. We’re proud to be both the Gold Sponsor and a hole sponsor for the event.”

“The day has been brilliant. Despite a damp start, the teams have really enjoyed themselves and it’s been fantastic to see so many businesses come together for such an important cause. As a local business with offices in Alsager and Crewe, supporting our community is something we genuinely care about, and we look forward to continuing our support in the future.”

We would also like to thank our valued sponsors and prize donors who helped make the day such a memorable occasion:

PA Today Ltd, GLO Café, Crewe Lyceum Theatre, NB Executive Solutions Limited, Alex Thurston – Headshot and Branding Photographer, NetworkIN Cheshire, Clarity Occupational Health, Lee Taylor, Butcher & Barlow, Travel Counsellors, Phil Pitcher, Onneley Golf Club and Westwood Golf Club.

Their generosity and support played an important role in helping us raise funds and create an enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

Celebrating Our Winners

While the real victory was the difference made for local communities, a little friendly competition added plenty of excitement to the day.

Congratulations to all our prize winners:

The Power of Partnership

Beyond the funds raised, the day was about building relationships, creating opportunities for collaboration and demonstrating the strength of our local business community when it rallies behind a cause. From experienced golfers to first-time participants, the event showcased the generosity, enthusiasm and community spirit that exists across Cheshire.

The impact of the day will continue long after the golf clubs have been packed away, helping us provide safe accommodation, support services, youth programmes, family initiatives and opportunities that enable people to belong, contribute and thrive.
