Community Meal

YMCA Cheshire is committed to fostering a sense of community, support, and belonging in Crewe. As part of our ongoing efforts to engage with the community and provide meaningful opportunities for connection, we are pleased to introduce a monthly community meal initiative. This initiative aims to bring together people from diverse backgrounds to share a meal, build relationships, and strengthen the sense of unity and solidarity in Crewe.

Purpose and Objectives

The primary intention of the community meal is to create an inclusive, welcoming space where individuals, families, and groups in Crewe can come together to share not only a nutritious meal but also experiences, stories, and companionship. The objectives of the community meal initiative are:

  • Promote Social Inclusion: Providing a space where everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, feels welcome and valued.
  • Strengthen Community Bonds: Encouraging residents to connect, fostering a stronger sense of community and mutual support.
  • Support Well-being: Offering a nutritious meal in a warm and friendly environment, contributing to the overall well-being of attendees.
  • Encourage Volunteering and Collaboration: Engaging local volunteers, businesses, and organisations in the planning and execution of the meals to build a more connected community network.

Bunny Hop Run

Celebrate spring with our Bunny Hop Run, a joyful Easter fun run designed for all ages and abilities. Whether you’re running for fitness, walking with friends, or hopping along with the kids, this relaxed and welcoming event is all about having fun together.

The course is beginner-friendly and full of springtime cheer, with options to take on the full 5K or join the shorter Kids and Family Bunny Hop. Along the way, participants can enjoy an Easter egg hunt, with chocolate prizes waiting at the finish.

The Bunny Hop Run is a non-competitive event focused on community, wellbeing and bringing people together. It’s the perfect way to enjoy fresh air, celebrate Easter and create special memories with family and friends.

Every pound raised supports YMCA Cheshire’s vital services, helping people across our communities to feel supported, connected and able to thrive.

So grab your bunny ears and join us for an Easter event filled with fun, laughter and purpose.
