Domestic Abuse Housing Officer

YMCA Cheshire provides supported accommodation and specialist services for victims and survivors of domestic abuse, including individuals with complex needs. Our approach is person-centred, trauma informed, and focused on long-term recovery and independence

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Domestic Abuse Housing Officer to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and smooth operation of our 7-bed supported accommodation service in Cheshire East.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the health, safety, and security of the accommodation site at all times
• Promote and monitor the wellbeing of all residents
• Manage out-of-hours referrals and respond to crisis situations
• Respond to out-of-hours calls across other accommodation sites within Cheshire East
• Complete required administrative tasks and reporting
• Undertake scheduled light maintenance and cleaning duties

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has an enthusiasm for seeing people thrive
• Has experience working in domestic abuse, supported accommodation, or a similar setting
• Understands safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and risk management
• Can remain calm and decisive in crisis situations
• Has strong organisational and administrative skills
